I consider it a true honor and privilege to be chosen as the 8^th principal to serve this incredible learning community.  Franklin Elementary enjoys a rich history of being a strong and vibrant community school.  This is a direct result of the partnership between our school staff and parents who continue to work collaboratively to provide extraordinary educational experiences for our students. During my first year at Franklin (my 24^th overall in the field of public education), I am truly looking forward to continuing this partnership and keeping the focus on doing what is best for each of our wonderful students.  Through collaborative and thoughtful effort, we can achieve just about anything

As we begin the 2012/2013 school year, Welcome Back, if you are a continuing family. If you are a new family to the Franklin community, Welcome!  If you are a prospective family, come by and visit.  Here at Franklin we offer kindergarten through fifth grade settings with a variety of distinctive programs including gifted and talented and special education, academic intervention supports, a strong arts and physical fitness program, a state of the art science lab, and ever-increasing integrated technology.  We also have an incredible before and after school program for students as well as a multitude of enrichment opportunities.  Our building-wide positive behavior support program focuses on the Franklin Keys to Success, and this year we have added some definitive behavior expectations called our Franklin “I” Statements.  In addition, we’ll be focusing on a specific core virtue/ character trait each month as we help our students internalize and learn the practical application of building positive character traits.  

Our goal continues to be to find ways to support every student in every way with research-based best practices, a rigorous curriculum and differentiated instructional strategies.  As your principal, my charge is to; continue to protect our strong school culture;  strive to be a servant leader to our staff and families;  help maintain a safe and joyful learning environment for our students; and whenever and wherever possible, come alongside your child in his/her educational journey.
