In our ongoing effort to enhance Franklin’s standard of excellence, the PTO conducted a parent survey where there was an overwhelming desire to:

Expand the learning opportunities for our scholars & limit the number of fundraising events.

As a result the PTO spearheaded a Commitment Campaign for the first time in Franklin’s history last year and had great success. The giving goal for the 2012- 2013 school year is  $20,000.

Walt Disney once said, “it is kind of fun to do the impossible.”

The “Unlock Our Potential” Campaign specifies how the impossible can be implemented by all of us. The goal, while ambitious, is very attainable. We have over 300 families in our community and are asking each household to consider a donation of $225.00 over the course of a year - that is $18.75 a month.

The PTO provides significant support to Franklin’s educational objectives. Our mission is to enhance the educational experience of our scholars by:

• Expanding individual instruction with additional staff not funded by the district

• Providing technology in the classroom

• Elevating student’s learning with a science lab, art, music and physical education

While we would love to rely upon the public systems - the reality is more money is not coming. The funds raised annually fill the gap between the budget provided and the academic opportunities Franklin currently affords to the community.
